An all or nothing psychology when it comes to habits.5 minutes of exercise is always better than 0, one serving fruit or vegetables is 0 and serving others is not necessarily 0 or more servings.

They stop taking their insulin or metformin because their a1c is normal.Yes, the meds worked, now your blood glucose is 600 and you are in DKA or HHS.

They are on their blood thinners because they had afib "some time ago" but had no problems with it.Yes, it's because you were on blood thinners, now you've got a clot and you've had a stroke.

It's a "silent" solution because they usually think it's a harmless solution, but oh my god, it causes complications.PLEASE talk to your healthcare team before making any medication decisions.

Note: Not being able to give or get medication is another, incredibly serious matter and I'm not talking about that.I have horror stories about it and it makes me angry

Loneliness.People see society as a protective factor, especially when things are difficult. Relationships can't solve everything, but they solve many problems, such as sadness, poverty, divorce, stress, etc.Getting involved with someone when something looks good, be it physical or mental, goes a long way. A positive network also encourages us to try new things, like hobbies, exercise classes, etc.

Strength training is just as important as cardio;your bones need more support as you get older.Smoking is the worst thing you can do.Make sure you get all your cancer screenings.

Sitting: People sit a lot.Sitting is a very common habit.Wake up.Get in the car to work.Sit at work.Sitting in the car on the way home.

This is a real routine for many people.

Cutting people out of their lives for a second is wrong.Have an example?It is dead for sure.Is there too much good faith?Sure, you cut them.But "cutting the poison out of my life" always means that if it doesn't win, I'll end up burning your bridges.

People tell themselves horrible things about themselves

"I can't believe myself."

"I don't deserve nice things."

"So I can't do it.".

Suppressing their feelings.

As a therapist, the things you think about yourself and about yourself create your reality.I know, it's not pleasant or true to think kinder or more accurate things about yourself, but I think the discomfort of growth is far better than the pain of being stuck in a toxic thought.

I work at the gym.People drink too much coffee.

I'm one of those people.

Self-anxiety and lack of self-care.I usually help pre-partum and post-partum women, I find many women who begin to conceive and express their periods.It is very difficult for them to consider themselves because all mothers take a long time on their own and cover their bodies for a long time.

They don't try to learn about their chronic illness/don't want to change their lifestyle so they end up being hospitalized for the same things over and over again.I am a cardiac CNA and we have a lot of *patients who come in regularly with the same problems as their bodies deteriorate.

I still feel for them because their situation is very unfortunate.No one wants to have their limbs slowly amputated by diabetes, or be bedridden by a disability before the age of 60.

Seriously, if you are diagnosed with a chronic illness, read up on it and do your best to follow your doctor's instructions.It can be a difficult adjustment but your life can still be fulfilling, especially now with all the treatments available for many of these common problems.

Also, we beat everyone who took them, because I know that losing something can be a bad fight.But they are very kind.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is not being able to withstand too much social pressure.

You can't be healthy by being a passive "go with the flow" type of person, at least in the US.You have to learn to say "no" to your co-workers who insist you have another donut in the office break room.You have to ignore the family member who nags you to make time to exercise.You should be careful of all the ads that tell you to eat fatty, salty, sweet and addictive foods.You also have to accept people's negative reactions when you tell them to walk or bike somewhere.You have to be strong enough not to give in to someone's insistence to have more cigarettes, and you have to have the courage to end a relationship with that person if they give you a hard time.

It's hard to please people and be healthy.People will pressure you mentally if you let them.You have to say "no" to some requests and invitations for the sake of your mental health.And you also need to learn how to put yourself first and not to care about everyone.Yes, you will hurt someone's feelings if you don't do whatever they want from you.But you have the right to not literally destroy moving furniture for someone who is too cheap to hire a moving company.You can help someone without sacrificing your body or mind.

The use of perfumed products, synthetic perfumes are neurotoxins.A growing body of evidence links them to depression and anxiety.

Get a skin exam, colonoscopy, etc., wear sunscreen, and don't wait until that weird lump is the size of a ping pong ball to finally see it.
