Last week, we asked you what age is appropriate for children to have their first smartphone.This question is the result of a recent study that found a link between early smartphone ownership and negative health effects in children.According to research, the longer a child has a smartphone, the greater the risk of negative effects on sleep, emotional state and health.
We had a variety of choices from 5-7 to 14 and up.Somewhat surprisingly, of the hundreds of responses received, the majority were older.In fact, the most popular answer was 14 and over with 53% of the vote, followed by 11-13 with 36% of the vote, 8-10 with 10% of the vote, and the remaining 5-7.
