First Benchmark Result Surfaces for MacBook Air With M3 Chip

Apple’s new MacBook Air with M3 chip promises impressive performance upgrades compared to its predecessors. Benchmark results for the latest model are in, and they do not disappoint.

The MacBook Air with M3 chip achieved a single-core score of 3,157 and a multi-core score of 12,020. This represents a significant increase of approximately 20% in single-core performance and 18% in multi-core performance compared to the previous M2 chip model.

The new MacBook Air features an 8-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU, and support for up to 24GB of unified memory. It is reportedly up to 60% faster than the model with the M1 chip and up to 13 times faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air.

Pre-orders for the new MacBook Air began on March 4th, with deliveries and in-store availability starting on March 8th. The pricing for the new model starts at $1,099, while the previous model with the M2 chip is still available for $999.
