Tide of Destruction debuted in today's Xbox Partner Preview, giving fans a lengthy boss battle while they await a release date.

Developing faces for today's Xbox Partner Preview to give fans a long boss fight to chew on while they wait for the release date.

Developer Eclipse Glow Games' presence at Microsoft's presentation led to one of the show's longest segments, giving fans an uninterrupted look at just one of their boss battles. This footage focused on a mix of cinematic moments and action-packed gameplay to show players how Gwendolyn will be able to take down some of the toughest enemies thrown at her.

Tides of Annihilation was announced at February's PlayStation State of Play presentation as a single-player action game set in a magical version of London.Aside from its graphics and vibrant action, it's the boss fights that players were hoping to see updated in Eclipse Glow soon. While the gameplay will undoubtedly be the main focus of the game for many, the studio has made it clear that the story, which is said to be rooted in Arthurian legend, will also remain an important element.

A story setup for Tides of Annihilation says, "London has been torn apart by a sudden attack from another realm. As the city's last surviving resident, Gwendolyn, you navigate a world where reality and fantasy merge and face otherworldly enemies as you unravel the mysteries of existence."

Tides of Annihilation doesn't have a release date but is expected to eventually launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. To see everything else announced in the Xbox Partner Preview, click here.
