A new RPG set in the God of War universe has leaked, and the release date of the next God of War game has been confirmed very far away.
According to several reports coming out this weekend, Santa Monica Studio - the team behind the God of War series - is working on a new RPG set in the God of War universe.This will actually be a new IP, but technically it won't be a new IP as it will be set in God of War.Meanwhile, we also got an update on the release date of the next God of War game, which is a long way off and seems to be set to release on PS6.

There are different methods with different information;The meatiest report comes from Ashong, a well-known source in the God of War community, in particular.In a thread on the video game forum Reset Era, a user speculated that Santa Monica Studio's next game is an RPG, which he responded to insiders with eye emojis.Meanwhile, in this thread, Jason Schreier from Bloomberg, one of the best sources in the industry, said, 'I think it's clear now what I mean is not a new IP, but maybe like one.'The context here is the LinkedIn page of a senior writer at the studio who noted that they are working on "a new franchise in the universe of God of War."

It is expected that this game is the rumored game from Cory Barlog, the creative director of the 2018 God of War reboot.There have been occasional rumors that the show will star Faye, but neither she nor Barlog's connections have said anything.However, industry insider Nick Baker said this week that the project led by Barlog is a secret.
What seems clear at the moment is that the next game from PlayStation Studios will be an RPG, or at least a game with RPG elements, set in the God of War universe.And this game will be directed by Cory Barlog.Talk about Faye as a hero is very broad and completely uncertain at this point.
