Michael Misa and Tyler Toffoli spoke after the San Jose Sharks' 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.I wrote in advance about GM Mike Grier's impasse.

Sharks locker room: How Grier broke the logjam
TAMPA BAY - The San Jose Sharks have some interesting decisions on their upcoming roster, especially up front.
As GM Mike Grier will resolve them, this will be reported.
Sitting out a 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay were forwards Igor Chernyshov and Jeff Skinner, both with valid cases for being in the line-up. Philipp Kurashev is injured, but appears close to returning, re-joining practice yesterday.
When healthy, the San Jose Sharks have 17 NHL-caliber forwards: McLean Celebrini, Chernyshov, Ty Dellandrea, William Eklund, Adam Gaudette, Barclay Goodrow, Collin Graf, Kurashev, Michael Misa, Zach Ostapchuk, Ryan Reeves, Pavol Regenda, the newly acquired Willner, T. Toffoli and Alex Wenberg.
Grier and head coach Ryan Warsofsky immediately see what they value most in their offensive line.
For example, it's surprising that Greer read two rounds despite the sticky beak that was Monday Sherwood.
He has pursued unfinished versions of a player like Luke Kunin.
The emergence of Chernyshov is another example of the Greer archetype coming to life in the world's best league.
This big, fast and experienced power forward has been the center of attention in the draft during the Grier regime, see Philip Bistedt, Cam Lund, Quentin Masti, Kasper Halttunen and Chernyshov.
Klim Kostin is the latest example of Grier's long-term bid to explore such a future.
The 6-foot-4 Ostapchuk is another guy Grier clearly wants, a physically dominant bottom-six tackle center.Ostapchuk, like Chernyshov, is eligible for waivers, but he's still with the San Jose Sharks because he, too, has developed faster than expected.
Ostapchuk has played a big role in the "identity" of the fourth line, along with Barclay Goodrow, Ryan Reeves and the type of players Grier values.
Keeping Misa in the NHL, as opposed to sending him back to the OHL, seems to be another message that Grier is still prioritizing the development of his high potential, like Skinner and Gaudet, over some of the forwards drafted in favor of Misa who are currently good NHL players.Unlike Saginaw, Misa's development in San Jose is good.
Could the emergence of Grier archetypes like Chernyshov and Ostapchuk, and the Sherwood trade - and let's not forget Graf to be the two-way wing of any GM who wants it - a sign that more of last summer's free agency could be on its way?
In the offseason, the Sharks signed Kurashev and Skinner, who felt more like bridge players for the Sharks, as opposed to long-term solutions. Both are considered skilled, but not the hardest to play against. And this season, neither has necessarily produced enough to make up for other deficiencies.
Kurashev has been hurt, so we’ll see how San Jose uses him when he’s back — maybe they’re more impressed with him than I know — but Skinner looks like he’s definitely on the roster bubble.
The Sharks scratched the six-time 30-goal scorer four times, though it's worth noting that he had two goals and six points in six games before settling down.
Skinner, signed to a one-year contract worth $3 million, has a full no-trade clause until Jan. 30 and an eight-team trade list until the end of the season.
However, between Smith's recent return and the Sherwood trade, the Sharks are getting healthier and looking better.
The question now is, in large part, because Serabrini became a superstar at 19, as demonstrated by the purchase of Sherwood: is this player a real player? That's how it used to be, can this player make us respectable?
This is especially true on the front line, where the Sharks once again have NHL-caliber depth.
It means that Dellandrea or Gaudette or Kurashev or Skinner will be again, say.
Toffoli at Florida, against back-to-back teams:
Yes, it's not easy. The schedule throughout the year has been tough for us.I think we have the most back-to-backs in the league, or one of them. That's no excuse. But, you know, it's not easy, coming here late and playing the best in the league. We started, had a solid first 10 minutes, I thought. But apparently, things fell apart.
(San Jose Hockey Now note: Airport delays caused the Sharks to arrive in Tampa Bay about an hour late, arriving at the hotel at 1 a.m. Tuesday)
Worsofsky on moving Misa to Celebrini's wing: 'Trying to keep something going. We couldn't do much offense, thought Misa would go over there and see that.'
He says that he will think about Misa playing more on the wing in the future

Warsofsky, What Sam Dickinson Can Learn Tonight:
Not only Sam, many of our young people have to learn that it is a daily league. And the organization and people will not feel bad for you.You have to show up and you have to work and be a pro.We will not use the schedule as an excuse. You have to do it every day.
Warsofsky thinks the #SJSharks gave it to him: "We gave up 2 goals. Anytime you do that against a really good team, you pay...

Varsofsky defends Nick Paul against Yaroslav Askarov in the third period:
His incredible athleticism makes him an exceptional blocker for some reason.
I'm certainly looking forward to seeing how FO resolves their impasse.Cherny and Regenda don't leave, and neither does Graf. Those are the kind of players you want and need to play winning hockey.I suggested Misa play on the wing when he came back. That's similar to the next play we'll see, but on Mack's line.Regenda/Smith/Misa, and let's see if we can get some traction there? These 3 players need development… Read more »
The Misa/Cherny/Rezenda line was a big factor in FLA's win, scoring 2 of the 3 non-EN goals. It's sad to see the line disintegrate so soon after such a great debut.I'll get a night here and there for Cherney, but doing it tonight would raise eyebrows for me.Moving Misa to the wing might make more sense if there is a better option to play at 3C.But no.Wingers here. There is excess and if you add weight to it, it gets worse (at least temporarily).I choose her… Read more »
I think Gaudet or Korshev can center the third line. The idea is to force Mize to score. If you look at his numbers in the OHL, he had 134 points, 62 g, 72 a.That's a big number that made him the #2 pick.He has not shown anything like that so far.
Jeff, did you see Mesa contribute to those two goals against Florida? How can you miss what's right in front of you?
He has one goal in 12 games and a shooting percentage of 5.9%. I think it's fair to say that we need more from him.
Misa is 18 years old in his rookie year 10 games in!Give him some time.Good sir.OHL not NHL.Misa has looked great in the last two games. He needs time to finally develop into the player he can be.
“If you look at his numbers in the OHL, he scored 134 points, 62 grams, 72 A.”What position was he playing when he put up these numbers?Kendra."They haven't shown anything like that yet."It seems some fans have unrealistically high expectations that they believe the level of productivity should come from an 18-year-old player playing his 12th NHL game.Give the kid some runway. He was drafted C. our mac is 1c
Mass will be our 2C (maybe next year)
Smith will be our front wing playing mostly with Mac as he should and sometimes with Misa for proper matchups and then filling in at C when needed but probably not often.
I guess that was GMMG's plan since the start of the regular season!?
"I think this has been GMMG's plan since the beginning of this regular season!?"I will not claim to know what his plans were, are or will be.However, considering the relatively quick transition from "Will Smith will play center next season" to "Will Smith will remain on the wing" after knowing roughly where he was going to draft (and to whom) it's not much of a leap to link one event to what his plan ended up being.I agree that Mac is 1C, Misa will be 2C and Will will play on the wing.I still wish they would give him some time... Czerny agreed.I think they're going to work with the player, maybe he was a little bit hit by a tough game in Florida, I don't know.If it's just to include others, it's a mistake.
Other teams don't have the same affection that Sharks fans have for Sharks players. No one is focusing on Ned for the amount the Sharks will have to pay to give him up this year.I like Ned, he's still good in the grand scheme of things and his usual self, in two games he's given a lot of value to the team with crap like the Opening. We will focus. It is… Read more »
No, in my opinion none of your suggestions are likely to come true.1. Smith can't be left out of Mack's lineup, their chemistry is too magical.2. Smith will not play on the third line.3.Mass does not move to the wing except for occasional in-game adjustments.4. Sherwood and Eklund are two different players, so yes, Sherwood is better physically and Eklund is better carrying the puck. The question is not whether we need apples or oranges, but which is better.Mass… Read more »
I think you got on Mac 👍
Again, I'm not an authority in this area, so I'll happily follow your opinion and agree with you.
This 13 mini disc 😂
Agree on all points.
tbh I don't think the roster is much, 17 forwards for 13-14 available spots is pretty normal because you expect two injuries at once.Chernyshov and Ostapchuk are being eliminated and have not been replaced (but), the majority of the group moved from Skinner a la Leddy before being eliminated, Delandria may not be ready after the Olympics, so there are still the former 13-14 - not necessary.Drive it away or move it to waste, the depth is good for a long time… Read more »
For the most part you are right.Currently, if the Sharks are fully healthy, they have 27 players on their roster.
Then they will have to move four.I think GMMG is being pragmatic, so waiving all exempt players is entirely possible.
This could still mean a few moves from TDL, and I expect their defense to improve by the end.
Here's how I see the line shaking out with Sherwood: Celebrini, Smith and Toffoli Wennberg, Eklund, and Sherwood Misa, Cheryshov and Graf Ostapchuk, Reeves and Goodrow Regenda spells to rest Reeves here and there.Kurashev will be the second addition.Skinner, DeLandria and Gaudet./ Kurashev is the odd man out front.Unfortunately, I see Nedelkovic picked up by the team.Brosoit was chosen for this uncertainty. If Brosoit continues to perform well with the Cuda, he could be rotated. The back end is a mess with expiring contracts.UFA, Klingberg, Ferraro, Liljegren… Read more »
Amazing, insightful from my perspective!
Owen Power was #1 or #2 overall to Buffalo if I'm not mistaken!?
I hear Eklund + other additions could be a thing for Dahlin and GMMG has a big spot with Buffalo!?
I don't understand how Misa can be taken to play more in the wing?We are already carrying wings and before Sherwood is ready to play.Once Sherwood is back he has Smith, Eklud, Toffoli, Sherwood, Graf, Chernyshov, Regenda, and Gaudet/Skinner/Kurashev in the top 6 9 wing positions. Then Misa in that position. There is also the question of who will play 3C if he leaves.
Delandria might come back after the Olympics and they might be dumb enough to replace it.
With all of these forwards lined up with Delandria and Goodrow, Celebrin has to be happy about the awards because Grier and Warzowski certainly aren't going to get them.It becomes a big hassle after it starts.
Al, you're on a trip.Think Grier and Warso don't really "get it"?They are paid to do these reviews professionally and have professional hockey experience, we are happy and have no professional hockey experience.
In fact, there are a lot of incompetent people in GM and coaching roles in professional sports. Not as much as there was, but more in the NHL than other sports. In the NHL, front offices are largely staffed with guys who used to play for the franchise, which is a great tip that the best person isn't hired for the job.It can also be said as far as it goes, in sports or not, that the best people don't get hired for work.important. Everyone is happy to tell you that "it's all about relationships".… Read more »
Wait ... maybe He slept at the Holiday Inn Express last night?
Because he's not an NHL center at this point.I said this in all his games. He's not an NHL-ready center, but he's an NHL player at this point and playing on the wing might allow him to kind of get his bearings and just play hockey. Not having all the responsibility that comes with being a Center.
But to answer your question about traffic jams?I have no idea, lol
Not saying he is, but the roster doesn't even have a player with an NHL level of 3C.Gaudet and Kurashev are wing players who can occasionally play C. Dilandria and Ostapchuk at 4c.The roster does not have a player eligible for 3C at night.
Lucas, kun taru!Wennberg NHL 3c level
Weinberg is our 2C, which means he can't play 3C.No, he’s at the NHL 3C level.I don't think it matters.
He stated twice that no player can play 3C.Weinberg is only 2C this year because our long term 2C solution is still learning.Misa needs to be developed and the only option is to play 3C until he is ready. This season is still about developing our young key players.
The solutions used by Warsaw and Grier work.We make great playoffs!
This is definitely not a tough guy.I didn't mention Weinberg as a 3C option because he is our 2C.I don't know how you don't understand that. The topic was this season, so future seasons where Weinberg could be a 3C are not relevant.
Dude, we have 3C this year, but you
Yes, it's Misa, but if you read the context of the conversation, it was Warsofsky who said that Misa might get more time as a wing, to which I said we don't have anyone who can play 3C if Misa is on the wing.
The thing is, you get 40 minutes in a central game from Mock and revenge, so I don't see the problem with the wings at the position, put the player in a position where you expect to play great minutes in the playoffs from 2027.
Of course there's a lot going on, but I'm still inclined to put Misa on Celebrin's wing for the next few weeks, at least to help her develop. Also, move Smith to center this stretch to give him more experience in the middle.
I think Misa is already a better center than Smith.Overall, he's very good when it comes to ranking and promotion, especially compared to Smith. He just doesn't have a body close to the NHL level.
I think you're right (it's hard to say for sure since we haven't seen Smith line up in the center for quite a long time), regardless it's not about who's better in the center for me, I think it's more in terms of development and experience.
Forward jams are much easier to deal with if teams are just honest about who brings things to the table.Dellandrea, Goodrow, Skinner and Kurashev hit 13, keep your 8 D.Kurashev is great, but numbers are numbers. At least he can extend his NHL career with this opportunity.
The 4th "identity" line is one of the worst 4th line in the league, probably the worst. They need to get over this crap, quickly.
In that 4th line regenda will be wasted.Because it cannot go like this, there will be an upheaval.
It would be a shame to have members of the Slovak national team demoted to the AHL or forced to play on line four where they don't belong.Imo, Lolo-Ostapchuk and Legenda surprised the management by developing faster than expected, but that's a good problem to have.
If getting over it means giving up a bunch of players that were brought in... I wonder if NHL teams wouldn't be willing to do that, maybe it would hurt their reputation as a place where players come from.
By tackling, I mean fetishizing the worst players on the team.
Warsaw manages a difficult situation.I don't think he really inspires anyone. One person I agree with is Drew Remenda.
Crazy Cherni assistant against panther: with drew's crickets
A very minor contribution from Dellandrea or Goodrow, such as winning a faceoff or getting a stick at the line: 5 minutes Remenda gushed about what a great game the big man was having, no, what a great year!
With DeLadria and Goudreau playing every game when healthy, and the better player playing a healthy shuffle, Warsofsky said they need that player to do better.DeLadria and Goudreau are always praised despite being two of the worst players in the NHL.
It's a fetish for Shitty players.
Not everyone has to score points. We also need fines, break-ups and forechecking. It's surprising that you can't see how much value they add to the Sharks team.
Your 3C should be aggressively involved.A prediction that does not result in aggressive success is ineffective.Goodrow is terrible at everything. So you're tired of that rat-faced loser.
You live in a different reality.Right, our 3C's make a terrific contribution.Porche can be very effective without scoring, and success often goes beyond the goal.Getting the puck in the offensive zone, being physical/poor, and forcing the opponent to play defense and clearing it is a huge winning goal. This is what every good team needs from the fourth line.
But to give you an idea, the Sharks are a good team. They are about to play! What exactly do you expect from them?
So is that why Goodrow played for Tampa for two years on their Cup winning team? And Rangers too, but no trophy? He's older now, and slower, but still good enough for the Sharks until someone better comes along to replace them.3.The line is always the controller/troublemaker line.If they can create some kind of attack then good, if not then at least it will disrupt the opponent's game.
Yes, players like Godreau are indeed needed and they don't need to score.By the same analogy, Wennberg is also an actor. He doesn't have as many points as Leslie, but his value to the team is no doubt.Like you said, PK players aren't flashy but they do the job that needs to be done.
I'd love to see you go up to Goody and tell him to his face that he's a "crappy" player. My brother has more cajons than you have.
Drew's comments are for those who need the finer points of the game explained, assuming you can at least see the obvious points as an incredible help.Goodrow and DeLandrea provide important plays such as faceoffs, blocked passes and pressure.Even if the TV almost explains it to you, you still don't understand.
Man, the Sharks fourth line is incredible. What do you expect from an effective fourth line?
Loving men doesn't make them better.I'm sure you have very little knowledge of what makes good bands.See for yourself.
Like I said, in order for this team to do what the big names do and still be this bad, there is some real garbage on the ice.
It wasn't this bad??We made the playoffs, which is a huge accomplishment for the organization.Just enjoy this magical season!
What is SJ doing this season from last place and 52 points last season and you still say this team is bad?Man, you are one less and sad "fan".
While I am also sometimes skeptical of "identity" players, there is a real element there. At the very least, respected veterans like Reaves and Goodrow have a psychological impact on the rest of the players.
I'm like the rest of the fantasy GMs (Stanley Cup winners on PS5!), but I think we also need to understand that the real NHL has an impact on psychology and motivation more than on paper.
I have said for a while that Delly, Skinner (whom I really like) and Kurashev do not belong here long-term.If there is a logjam, that is the answer to the problem.Moving Smith from the "twin brother" Celly will mess up the chemistry between the two, and the fourth line is Warso's favorite line as he often advertises.
The issue that Mr. Sheng raised is one that I have been mentioning for several weeks.GMMG has done a great job of creating depth throughout the organization and now they need to put it together. If the Sharks were fully healthy, their roster would be 27 players (four players too many). This led to the overflow mentioned in the article and created a number of issues that GMMG needed to consider.1) Many players are NTC until the 30th (Klingberg, Skinner, etc.) and the Olympic break makes player transfer mechanics even more difficult.2) From February 5th… Read more »
I won't rule out Sherwood being traded before the deadline, especially if the rumors that he and his agent believe he could fetch close to $30 million in FA are true.If Grier can't reach an extension with Sherwood before the deadline, then it would be best to negotiate to try to recoup the value you gave up to get him.
I seriously doubt they will move Kiefer again, assuming they brought him in so he can get used to his new surroundings before the stretch run and maybe try to get him signed before the deadline. They target Kiefer for a reason, he shouldn't be the one to play 6 games and then move on to a draft pick after you move both over the next 2 years.
As a fringe playoff team coming off a rebuild, you don't give up two second-round picks on a 31-year-old rental winger unless you extend him.If he's right that he thinks he can get $30M in FA and you can't extend him before the deadline, then pulling it out and possibly losing him to FA for 4-5 playoff games or missing the playoffs is a huge mistake.
It's a terrible thing in business. They should be able to know and do what is available. You can do that.If you like it so much, hell sign it.Why did you pay for it as it didn't extend, so far it seems to be on the market? If you're going to pay market rate for him as a free agent anyway, then you don't need to trade him. He's not that important this season, and you'd have to give up two other rounds to get him here... From Pashelka's article in Merc:
Grier and Sherwood's camp have had initial discussions about what the next UFA contract will look like, and the two sides are reportedly not on the same page.
A link to a TV clip was included, with Chris Johnston reporting that he was away.
What do we do now?
Remember, if Sherwood doesn't play before the Olympic break, the team only has 4 games before the deadline in which he could play. Assuming it's not already a disaster, I imagine they have no intention of dealing him again.
Yes, they better have continued success. It would be a shame if Grier used two 2nd picks in 27 games from center to wing when the Sharks were not far from contention.
I'm not ruling it out, but I just doubt they're just going to trade him to someone else, it makes more sense to do a three-team trade. However, if he becomes the chip that gets the sharks coveted defensemen, it will be more than fine by me.
One thing I would say about all the contract rumors and comments about Sherwood is that GMMG and its staff would not have traded him for him unless they knew they could sign him.
The whole trade war thing is silly because Vancouver always wanted to trade him to another team.
GMMG wanted to avoid a bidding war when a new team brought him on loan, so they got him.
I think the truth is Sherwood is looking to get paid.He made just $5 million in his NHL career and turns 31 this year. This is probably his only chance for a big payday.I think he was a 4×4.5 rejected from Vancouver before they traded him?
I read it too.I think GMMG were fully aware of this before they did the trade and will negotiate accordingly.
Another way this can happen is that he can overvalue himself against what he can actually get on the open market.Hopefully, he likes playing at SJ and will want to re-sign if all is well.If that's the case, and GMMG really feel that Sherwood can't get what he's asking from others, you can always let him be a FA, but make it clear that we want to re-sign him.Make him a solid offer and then look to match or beat any other higher offers (if they're still reasonable). It will be… Read more »
You can try it, but it's risky considering the amount you paid to get Sherwood and the fact that the Sharks aren't really a real contender.A guy like Sherwood won't make or break the Sharks' ability to compete for his next contract. It's safer to trade it in if you don't agree to an extension before the trade-in deadline. Two picks in the middle of the 2nd round are worth the same as a late 1st round.in the late 1st fire value for 20+ games in the rented center 6 wings when you are fringe playoff… Read more »
This is a very nice place. If, Sherwood does not work for any reason, there is a chance to move to her or more, get a better, to get better than playing and good.I hope the rest of the dressing room is below a microscope.Gmmg's skill moves before the rest and tdl.
Hopefully we will not trade to Panarin as some say 😅
This is very unlikely. My bet is on Dallas and the Caps. And of course Vegas 😩
FV has gotten their hands dirty in any potential "super player" trade. The sad reality is that as long as they remain playoff contenders, they will be an attractive destination for top-level talent.
Unless Grier somehow gets a low price for Panarin, this would be a very hasty move (which would lend further credence to Goodrow's abandonment conspiracy theory).
I think at least one of our current top 6 forwards will be part of the trade to improve the defense!?
yesIt would be a bit heartbreaking. But a good person must do good. Not ready to go see Eklund!!
I originally answered the deal about the bread man... confused him with yours... oops!
I went to another thread about why Panarin wasn't added (for character reasons).
I'd go for SJ against him for various reasons. He is 34. SJ is not in "win now" mode. They're just hanging out in "wild card spot now" mode.
Those who have Sherwood's trade already because of his age, he climbed the charts a bit higher, and that he declared that he was missing in the next and likely the last contract.Panarin in both ages above AAV.For SJ, IMO.
I also don't want him to go but he can go 😢
It's really not that hard to figure out who stays and who goes. The "who's going" list is mostly players with limited trade value. For once, Klingberg looked like he was going to get something significant in return. It seems less likely now.Dellandrea shined even more, but faded (the constant influx of teammates didn't help) and is now injured.Kurashev also flashed - and was injured. There are almost always several on IR at any given time.is just life in the NHL.However, if everyone gets better at once — the Olympic break could make something possible... Ostapchuk and Cherny don't need to be released, so it's okay for them to go back.It will give the slightly sliding Cuda the boost it needs. They have a good chance to go far in the playoffs with those guys.Reganda could fetch a lot of money if released, so there's no doubt it's worth the risk. All in all, most of us, I'll say personally, I didn't think the Sharks would make it to the playoffs, but I'm so excited for this…
“...many people wondered whether Graf would stay.”“Many” doesn’t strike me as something people see Graf, but it’s a feeling more than anything.I found what Graf did last year to be a welcome surprise and I was also looking forward to where he could take his game.Where do you get your “many” rating?
Graf can descend and does not need to clear exceptions. So some people think that GMMG will use it.We usually suffer from a numbers game.I saw some pictures at the beginning of the season that I pulled from Graf's opening night list.iirc, Steve Peters was on the SJHN pod and had demoted getting Graf. But others have the same reaction.fwiw, I was a big fan of Graf when he debuted, even if he had some struggles back then.I forget exactly when I said it, but I once said... I don't think the graph is a waiver, see puckpedia because they don't give it that designation.
I feel like Mook is on track with the price and where he is in development.Something like Mook, a B prospect and a skin (for roster relief) at the mid-level D that the organization deems healthy and replaces Lillygren 26-27
And you still have 8 defenders, so get 2 out of 3 scratches when everyone is healthy. It's quite a logjam. One would think, at least long-term, Greer is really like all tight ends, but unless he makes a trade or major trades, Cuda is going to improve.
If people want to talk about aggressive actions. What about Robert Thomas? It seems nothing is off the table for the Blues.I imagine the pack should start with Misa.Acquiring Thomas and making a few moves to improve the blue line in the offseason would likely make the Sharks a legitimate contender next season.
I think Misa is a potential trade candidate at some point if they are overloaded up front and use them for elite defense. He is not getting any interest in Robert Thomas.
I will be shocked out of my thick skull if they trade Miza.
I don't think they are in a hurry either. But sometimes the cap becomes an issue, and some choices have to be made. We're in year two of trying to add D for as long as he can play in the league and now it's all gone.Maybe sometimes it's a little bold and invisible.
There is no way to change the Mass.
This would be an impatient move. You have a core that, if developed correctly, could be a potential Stanley Cup dynasty because you have a bunch of good players coming together, all under RFA team control. Why disrupt this schedule? Misa is still in the early stages of his career. You can trade for someone as good or better than Thomas in a few years but he's still under RFA team control...all at a time when Celebrini, Smith, Dickinson, Askarov, etc.should also be in their prime. If Greer perseveres until then, there will be… Read more »
I feel like a lot of people forget that Greer and company said they were buyers and sellers at this year's deadline.Since arriving here, Greer has been a man of his word.Greer is 100% making other moves.
I think part of the strategy can send waiver-eligible players (think Cherny and Chucky) to continue playing hockey during the Olympic break. The Barracuda have a game during this time, so it's worth thinking about keeping the guys in good shape.
NHL teams are prohibited from training from February 6 to 25. The Cuda will play 8 games during this period.I think everyone who is eligible will go to keep hockey form.
That's a good point!
Good point - it seems to be happening.I also don't think the message to the locker room has been discussed enough in all the comments. For example, if a player believes Chucky is the best player in 4C and you send him down just because it's the easiest thing to do, that's a terrible message for a team scratching and clawing to make the playoffs.I don't think GMMG wants to do this. Moreover, I don't see the best logical argument for developing Chucky more time in the AHL (excluding the Olympic break). And the development is still...
