The rumor started after Breaker was ambushed during his entrance as the number two entrant in the Royal Rumble.A hooded figure dressed in black stomped on the former NXT Champion before disappearing, leaving the Breaker to be eliminated by Oba Femi in just 10 seconds.Fan footage appears to show the attacker with light facial hair, leading some to suggest it could be Logan Paul or his brother Jake Paul.
Speaking on his motivational podcast, Paul dismissed the theory and mocked the backlash online.
"By the way, I'm not the masked guy. I'm not the masked guy, guys. I watch the commentary online. I'm not the masked guy. If I am, it's a shock to me because I don't remember doing it," Paul said. "Siguro yung green shirt guy. Mom cannot afford the seats on the other side, the Saudis paid the price. He was on the opposite side, in the other side seat. Can't get on TV this time, mate."
The mysterious angle has drawn comparisons to a similar story at Survivor Series, where the masked man helped The Vision during the WarGames.It was later revealed that the attacker was Austin Theory.
For now, WWE continues to tease that Seth Rollins could be the culprit behind the Royal Rumble attack, even though Rollins has not been medically cleared following his surgery in October.The identity of the masked man remains unclear as the story develops.
