I must have done something wrong if the fans are not happy - Reža
Manager Arne Slott says he must have done a lot of things wrong as Liverpool fans have been "disappointed" with their recent form.
Liverpool cheated after conceding a 90th-minute equalizer in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Tottenham.
Despite winning the Premier League less than 12 months ago, the Reds' form and disappointing results have fueled anger among fans.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says it's "really hard" for Slott to get support from fans.
Liverpool, fifth in the league and in the Champions League, face Turkish champions Galatasaray on Wednesday (20:00 GMT) after going down 1-0 in the first leg of their last 16 tie.
"It's never nice to be disappointed because the fans usually don't get upset after you win," said the Dutchman.
"So, first of all, you're frustrated and disappointed that we didn't win," Slott said.
"People told me when I came here that this club was different to other clubs, they would support a manager for so long.
“But if you're assuming something, I must have done a lot of things wrong and that's never a good feeling, because being at a club that always gives a lot of support to the manager in good and bad times, so if they're not happy with me, then obviously I must have done a lot of things wrong, and that's never a good feeling.”
He added: "But I also know how the football industry works. Winning can change a lot. That's what we're trying to achieve tomorrow night. And we're fully prepared for that, I can tell you."
Carragher claimed Liverpool were a team of individuals, but Slott disagreed.
"I agree with a lot of things that Jamie has said during the season. This one, I don't agree with," said Slot, asking his players that he never gave up.
"A team that gives up, a team of individuals or a team that doesn't work together can no longer compete after our 120th setback this season. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but we still have a lot to do."
And Slot has urged his players to keep up the pressure as Liverpool look to reach their first Champions League quarter-final since 2022.
The Dutchman admitted it was a special moment for him as he had yet to settle into that stage of the competition.
"It's the most important (game). Because it's the next one. That's as simple as that. The next one is always the most important," Slott said."After Galatasaray, there is another big one against Brighton, with two days rest again. We feel the importance of this game. We are able to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. It would be special for me, because it would be my first. It would be special for everyone - we can never take a Champions League quarter-final for granted."
Robertson: It's sad that we can't see stability
Meanwhile, Andy Robertson has insisted that Liverpool need to find consistency. They are fifth in the Premier League with eight games to play.
"I think we're all disappointed because we can't find consistency, because last season probably separated us from everyone in the league. That's why we ended up winning the league comfortably," said the 32-year-old.
The Liverpool left-back refused to reveal his future, saying he should be fully focused on the "big Champions League game" and that he would have time to talk about his next steps.
Robertson, who has made 371 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Hull for 8.8 million in 2017, is out of contract this summer and will join Tottenham Hotspur in January.
