How to add as a source on Google

In a few years, the world of online media will change.Ten years ago everyone switched to video. Now Google is using (suspicious) AI summaries to keep them on their site instead of sending them to outlets (like us) who know what they're talking about.

The good news is that you can set Google as your "preferred source" in search results with just the click of a few buttons.Google introduced Favorite Sources last year to let users choose which websites they view the most.Follow a few simple steps and you'll see more of our articles.

Adding the desired source is easy.

An easy way to add us as a preferred resource is to click this link, then check the box that appears next to Jalopnik.A slightly longer way is to search Google on any topic - cars, Tesla, Kia Sorento 2024 - until you find the Top Stories section of the results.Click on the icon next to the title of this section (the image with two cards in the screenshot below) and search in the pop-up that appears.Click the box, and it will tell Google that you want to see more of our stories in your search results.

Despite the pessimism online and off, this is not a normal time for or about journalism. It's a revolution, of course, but our company has received them time and time again - newspapers, magazines, webrings, magazines, videos and reviews now. We're not planning to go anywhere, so don't worry.Adding us as a favorite helps us stick around.
