Barry Manilow has canceled tour dates after ill health left the 82-year-old singer unable to perform the 90-minute show.The pop icon rescheduled the concert on doctor's advice.

Barry Manilow, one of pop's most enduring icons, is suspending his concert tour after recent health problems forced him to cancel his scheduled shows weeks ago.

The 82-year-old singer revealed heartbreaking news and a heartfelt message to fans, sharing details about her struggle to return to the stage following a serious health scare.

In an honest statement, Manilov talked about the difficult conversation he had with his doctor.

"Just got home from a visit to the surgeon. Very sad visit," Manilow shared with X.

Despite his commitment to recovery - daily exercise and forcing himself to sing long songs - the legendary actor revealed that he is not yet ready for the physical demands of his upcoming tour.

"I told them I've been using the treadmill three times a day (I have), but I still can't sing more than three songs in a row before I have to stop," he said.

But when asked if he'd mind attending the upcoming stadium show, his expectations weren't what he'd hoped.

"He said, 'Barry, you're not ready to do a 90-minute show.'Your lungs are not ready,” Manilow continued.

"You're in great shape considering what you've been through, but your body isn't ready. You shouldn't be doing your first shows in the arena. You won't make it."

Manilow continued, "I felt like he was going to say that. Deep down ... my body knew what my heart didn't want to admit: I wasn't ready."

That's why Manilow shows his stuff from February 27th to March 17th.

"When I come back, I come back!!!"Manilow promised just that, giving fans a reason to hold on to their concert tickets and optimism.

He ended his message in part by saying, "The doctor said my body has been through hell and needs time to heal. So, I'm on my way back to recovery."

Manilow signed off his note with "All love and thanks, Bea."

The news comes after an earlier scare in December, when Manilow revealed she had been diagnosed with a cancerous lung tumor, discovered just weeks after battling bronchitis.

The diagnosis surprised fans, but he assured his followers that the spots were caught early and have not spread.

"It's pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early," Manilow said at the time.

He explained that he doesn't need chemotherapy or radiation to stay motivated.

"Just chicken soup and 'I love Lucy' on repeat," she joked.

Manilow rose to fame writing iconic jingles like McDonald's "You Deserve a Break Today" and creating classics like "Mandy" and "Copacabana", consolidating himself as one of the most successful pop artists of the 70s and 80s.
