Yemen: Italy, the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom condemn the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia
New York, March 11 22:09 – (Nova Agency) – Italy, the United States of America, Germany, France and the United Kingdom condemn the “prolonged attack by the Houthis on the Yemeni city of Ma’rib and the great escalation of the attacks they launch and adopt against Saudi Arabia.” This is what was read by a joint statement of the foreign ministries of the five countries. “Their decisive attack on Marib exacerbates an already very serious humanitarian crisis,” the statement added. Our renewed diplomatic efforts to end the conflict in Yemen, in support of the United Nations Special Envoy, and with the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and the international community, offer the best hope for ending this war. We urge the Houthis to seize this opportunity for peace and put an end to the ongoing escalation. We reaffirm our firm commitment to the security and integrity of the Saudi soil and the restoration of stability and tranquility along the Saudi / Yemeni border.
