Saudi Arabia has advertised for eight new executioners to carry death sentences. Saudi kingdom obeys Sharia law, in accordance to it Drug trafficking, rape, apostasy and armed robbery are sentenced as execution of the person.
Saudi Arabia is often criticised for its strict laws, despite this they get it carry on. They were on the third slot of list of most executions 2014, with 90 executions but Saudis in 2015 have made 84 executions so far, if they keep on going with the same speed rate of execution will be double than in 2014.
The vacancies for executioners was advertised in the religious jobs section on the ministry’s website. According to the ministry’s website no qualifications were required for the post and applicants would be hired from the usual entrance exams.
Besides beheading, amputation is also in the duty of executioners. Amputation can be called as their daily work, as lesser offences are sentenced as amputation.
Amputation is sentenced as a person guilty of theft,however it can be of one or both hands.
Many of the human right organization have raised their voices to demolish the law of execution in the kingdom but till now no hard work proved to be fruit full.
Although, hiring of new executioners tells rate of execution will increase more, as more judges are appointed to hear the long left cases.
