RIYADH: Saudi Prince, Waleed Bin Talal became the first person to donate the highest amount of his wealth for philanthropic works in the world. Prince Talal has donated all his wealth that is about $ 32 billion for charity.
Addressing a press conference for the announcement of this plan, Prince Talal said that this amount for charity would help to work as a bridge to strengthen cultural understanding, develop communities, empower women, enable youth, provide vital disaster relief and create a ,ore talent and accepting world.
He said that the donation would take place for several years and the entire system will work under the board of trustee that would be headed by him.
Prince Talal had already spend $ 3 billion in charity under his organization “Waleed Philanthropies”. His charity trust provided homes to homeless people in the far away areas of Saudi Arabia and electricity. His charity trust has also provided funds to number of charity programmes all over the world.
Earlier Bill Gates had donated $ 4 billion for charity and other billionaires have also donated billions of dollars in charity but Prince Talal got the lead in the list by donating such a huge amount.
