ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached Belarus today on a three-day official visit.

The premier was welcomed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who was also accompanied by the Vice Prime Minister, and the Foreign Minister of Belarus.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, had also been given a red carpet welcome and a guard of honor on his arrival at Minsk

The PM is scheduled to have a one-on-one meeting with Belarus President and a delegation level talk afterwards. He will also meet his Belarus counterpart during this three-day visit. The schedule also includes meetings with Chairman of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Council of the Republic.

PM Nawaz Sharif is likely to be given an honorary Doctorate Degree as well by Belarusian State University.

During this official visit, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President of Belarus will also inaugurate joint Pak-Belarus Business Forum.

Meanwhile, the premier is accompanied by Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Minister for Food Security Sikandar Hayat Bosan, Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
