ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has conveyed its cordial felicitations on the Independence Day of United States to President Barrack Obama and the whole American nation.
Pakistani and American nations are tied by ideals of democracy, freedom and human rights, said Nawaz in a letter to Us President. “We are committed to consolidating this relationship into an enduring partnership”, he said.
Nawaz Sharif also ensured Obama that Pakistan will continue strengthening bilateral relations and will enhance co-operation to the benefit of both countries.
He also expressed his best wished for the development and progress for the people of the United States. “Pakistan values the confidence and understanding that exists at the leadership level between the two countries”, he added.

The US Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation had issued an alert asking local authorities and the public to remain vigilant for possible threats following recent calls for violence by Islamic State leaders.
