Hindu extremist group Shiv Sena assaulted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) office in Mumbai on Monday when Pakistan Cricket Baord (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan was in a meeting with his Indian counterpart Shashank Manohar.
The mob ransacked the office and chanted slogans against the Chairman PCB and Najam Sethi demanding their return to Pakistan right away. Shiv Sena extremists warned that Pakistan and India series would not be allowed.
Subsequently, the attack on BCCI office resulted in cancellation of meeting between the two authoritatives.
Following the annulment of meeting, PCB chairman Shehryar Khan said during talking to media that he visited India at the invitation of BCCI.
Reacting the incident, former PCB chairman and Pakistani analysts lamented the act of extremists and bluntly exposed the filthy face and anti-Pakistan emotions of Modi government. Analyst Tariq Pirzada viewed that the separatist movement in India would further get strong as the fanatics acts of Hindus against Minorities, including Muslims.
On the other hand, Chief Executive of International Cricket Council (ICC) David Richardson has deplored the attack on BCCI office by the Shiv Sena fanatics.
