Voicing for its one of the closest ally, China describes Pakistan as a victim of terrorism and that China would continue supporting the neighbouring country in tackling terrorism.
China also took on the USA, stating it does not comply with interference of countries outside the South China Sea region in the current crisis with its bordering countries.
“Pakistan is also a victim of terrorism. In the past few years, Pakistan has been fighting terrorism with a lots of casualties,” Rear Amiral Gaun Youfei, Director General, Foreign Affairs Office in China’s Ministry of National Defence said.
Gaun also acknowledged that Pakistan has triggered a military operation to deal with the demon of terrorism recently.
He stated that China would continue to support Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism, especially in fighting the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement.
Further, he added the Chinese stance on terrorism is that ‘double standard’ should be repelled while dealing with terrorism.
“This is something we need to look into,” he added without referring to a particular country.
He also claimed that China would work in order to deepening counter-terrorism cooperation with India.
