Royal Norwegian Embassy in Islamabad which is located in Sector F-6/2 of Islamabad closed its all operations in Pakistan for an undefined period of time. On 25th August Embassy seized all its operations in the name of security and no additional details were provided by the embassy. It should kept in mind; Pakistanis make 5th largest immigrant group in the Norway. All new applications and current visa are put on hold without providing any alternative embassy in any other country.

Consular services: Until further notice, the Embassy will not provide consular services with the exception of emergency cases. This means that it will not be possible to submit applications for normal passports or national identity numbers at the Embassy for the time being. Neither will the Embassy carry out DNA tests or legalise documents, and it will not be possible to hand in powers of attorney, declarations of paternity or life certificates.
Applications for visas and residence permits: Until further notice, it will not be possible to submit applications for visas or residence permits at the Embassy or VFS. However, applications that have already been submitted to the Embassy will be processed. Applicants who have made an appointment to submit an application at a VFS office will be contacted and given more information. VFS offices will remain open as normal, and can be contacted if you have general questions or need information about visas or residence permits.
The Embassy cannot at present give any information about when public services will be resumed or when it will be possible to submit applications.
