No meeting, no dialogue: PM Nawaz, Modi just wave at each other at UN Summit

As the world leaders started joining the session on Peacekeeping hosted by US president Barack Obama, Indian PM Modi entered first, while Pakistani PM Nawaz stepped in the conference hall couple of minutes late. At seeing Indian counterpart, PM Nawaz just waved at him and was responded in the same manner by Modi.

Both waved each other and passed smile without showing any other signs.

The premiers of both countries had seen each other on Monday and their seats were arranged across the horse-shoe-shaped table at the conference.

It was speculated that both leaders would meet each other and would have few words with each other at the UN meeting. However, none of such things happened even they did not shake hands and just waved despite they were staying at the same hotel.

Previously, both met in Ufa, Russia, in July on the sideline of the BRICS and SCO summits.
