DALLAS – A Cruel women in North Texas has been inculpated that she try to serious bodily injured her 2-year daughter to put the child in the oven.
A woman was take in custody after allegedly putting her beloved two-year-old daughter in an oven, leaving the little girl with serve burns, according to multiple reports.
Tasha Shontell Hatcher, 35, had been charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury in connection to the March 17 incident, on Sunday.
According to given statement by Somervell County Sheriff Greg Doyle, deputies responded to a home shortly before midnight after receiving a report a 2-year-old child has burned.
Witnesses reported to deputies that Hatcher told them she had placed the toddler in an oven, in her statement said.
The girl was badly burned and being treated at a burn center in Dallas for second and third-degree burns.
Texas Child Protection Services (TCPS) spokeswoman Marisa Gonzales said the little child has been taken into their custody and will be placed in foster care when released from the burn center.
The girl’s uncle said that he and other relatives are not enabled to have any contact with the girl and her mom during the investigation.
Her condition was not instantly known.
Hatcher was arrested by police and charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury, a third-degree burn.
Hatcher appeared in court Saturday. Her bond has been set at $300,000, AP reported.
