Mohsin Hamid’s book shortlisted for International Literary Award

 “How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia”, third novel of Pakistani fictionist Mohsin Hamid, shortlised for International Literary Award.
This year, 154 translations were submitted by 81 participating German-language publishers where as the creators belong to 64 countries and write in 27 languages.
Recognized for her excellent job, Eike Schonfeld, translated Mohin’s “How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia”. A jury of literature critics, translators, culture journalists and authors reviewed the submitted books. Only 6 books including Mohsin’s master piece have been picked out for the final round. The best fiction of the year, translated into German, revealing the evolution in prose of the world, is the standard to win the prize.
A prize money of 25,000 Euros is awarded to the winning writer and already won Italy’s Terzani Prize for International Literature and came after Mohsin’s “Moth Smoke” and “The Reluctant Fundamentalist”.
