Bhopal: Two innocent women were badly beaten by radical Hindu groups in India for allegedly carrying beef to sell. They were beaten at Mandsaur railway station by Hindu Dal activists.
The women are identified as Shameem Akhtar Hussain, 35, and Salma Ismail Mewati, 30, both residents of Khanpura locality. The buffalo meat was seized, and that was about 30 kg.
They were waiting for their train, then the group of activists came here for beating and abusing. There are three cases against Shameem and four cases against Salma, and the women had served one month in jail, said by in-charge of Kotwali police station.
Both women will be released on bail because it was buffalo meat, said by investigating officer. A question was asked about action to the Minister against the attackers; he said if both women registered a complaint against them, then the police would act.
Unfortunately, the police didn’t take any action against those activists who beat them badly.
