The reversed order is shaping the fury of service providers, who have been seriously asked to look into and decide which sites should be blocked.

“This whole thing is very ambiguous. How are we supposed to check if the sites have child porn?” Expressed an official at one of India’s top telecom operators.

“In this what we are supposed to do now?” The irritated executive said, referring to having looked into sites for child pornographic stuff.

Censorship of Internet stuff is a usual practice in India but the order to shut down the 857 pornographic sites was the first massive move against the Internet pornography.
