Although stabbed repeatedly, the child survived and later told investigators that he was attacked as ‘he couldn’t find the remote’.
The boy, who sustained serious injuries after being attacked, has have his liver damaged, as added the statement. The was sentenced to jail after a trial in a local court though the incident occurred in February.
Meanwhile, domestic violence, especially by drunkards is a widespread issue in Russia, and mostly goes unreported; and, according to a member of the Kremlin’s human rights council, forty percent of violent crime in the country is committed in the family.
The council has also raised the issue at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin last week as well.
