Hyderabad: A court in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday issued a bailable arrest warrant against Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.
After the case related to a picture on the cover of a magazine in which Dhoni appeared in like god having several hands, a local court in Anantapur issued the arrest warrant. The captain did not appear before the court despite three summons served in the past, consequently the court ordered the police to bring him in the court on July 16.
A petition against him was filed after Dhoni was portrayed as Hindu god Vishnu with a subtitle “God of Gig Deals” and holding products of several companies including a shoe in his hand.
