Judge DW Deshpande found Salman Khan guilty of culpable homicide. Also rejected Salman Khan defendant’s claim that his drive was to blame.
Hit-and-Run Case 2002:
Late on the night of September 28, 2002, Khan’s Toyota Land Cruiser hit the American Express bakery in Bandra Area, Mumbai. The Land Cruiser ran over five people sleeping on the footpath, killing 38-year-old Noor Ullah Khan and seriously injuring four others.
The prosecution alleged that Khan was behind the steering and that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time. However Khan denied both allegations. But many witnesses were against Khan statement. And today the judge declared him guilty after closing the statements and arguments
