What do we know about the new alternative?
I Four major mutations From varante Omicron Which can help with infections: N501Y, H655Y, N679K, and P681H. The latter is also found in the Alfa variant. They are all found in Spike, where more than 30 mutations have been identified. Compared to the original strain of the virus, there are about 60 changes in SARS Cove-2.
Ma Having more mutations does not at all mean that the virus is ‘bad’. During the pandemic, there were variants that saw themselves anxiously, such as beta, but then got the worst in the face of the diverse viruses (such as delta) that became the majority.
Covid, all variants
What are the main variants of Sars Cov-2? Alpha (p.1.1.7) the UK as a starting point and spread, then beta (p.1.351) with South Africa, gamma (p. 1) with Brazil, delta (p. 1.617.2) with India, Epsilon (p 1.427), with California, Zeta (p. 2) with Brazil. then Eta (B.1.525), from New York, Theta (P.3) from the Philippines, Iota (B.1526) from New York, Kappa (B.1.617.1) from India, Lambda (C.37), from Peru, Mu (B.1.621) from Colombia and finally Omicron (B.1.1.529), the first cases identified between South Africa and Botswana.
Variable names are assigned by the World Health Organization to two types of variables: those “defined as a concern” and those “of importance” dealing with the letters of the Greek alphabet. There were two unassigned letters: “nu” (because in English it would sound like new, and that’s new) and Xi (the nickname for Chinese head of state Xi Jinping, very common in China).
“We’re concerned that people are dismissing Omicron as a moderator. Sure, now we know we’re underestimating this virus on our own. Even if Omicron causes less serious illness, the massive number of cases could once again overwhelm unprepared health systems” –Tweet embed

What does mutating virus mean?
When a virus mutates, it means that its genome is changing. The more it spreads, the greater the risk that it will change: that is why vaccination and the rules of social distancing are necessary to avoid a resumption of infection. Also for Sars Cov-2, the rule of ‘selection’ applies: variants with greater transmissibility or greater pathogenicity have a prevalence over others. There were many mutations (far beyond the letters of the Greek alphabet), many of which had little effect. This is why the World Health Organization “promotes” in the name of, for infection or disease outcomes, those of most concern or concern.
