Jonathan Rea is ready for the new World Superbike Challenge, scheduled for this weekend at Most in the Czech Republic. The Briton is trying to make up for it after losing all three competitions that took place two weeks ago in Donington (UK).
The domestic round did not smile at the multi-world champion who is still fighting anyway for a more open World Cup than ever. The rider from Kawasaki currently boasts 229 points compared to 246 for Spaniard Alvaro Bautista, the championship leader with Ducati.
The 65th in the group reported to Micron’s “Speedweek.com” media on the eve of the Czech tour, a completely different track than Donington Park. “Last season Most was a new track for everyone, so we had to learn a lot. We didn’t try anything at that circuit and I’m convinced it was a more difficult weekend than expected for that reason too“.
F1, Laurent Rossi: “We must do everything we can to stay fourth in the constructors’ standings”
The 35-year-old concluded:With the data we collected in 2021 and the improvements made to the Ninja ZX-10RR, I expect it to be very competitive. Mostly before the summer holidays, it is important to go on vacation with a good feeling and a little determination. I expect a completely different trajectory than last season.”
