It was carried by American publisher Marvel Comics, but in the sixty years since its debut it has appeared on UK postage stamps exclusively featuring local cartoonists. The heroes are the mutant superheroes the X-Men, to whom London dedicated seventeen stamps released on February 16. It features some of the most popular characters.
In sheets of sixty or thirty arranged by class here worked on by Mike McCone, Professor X, Kitty Pryde, Angelo, Colossus, Jubilee, Cyclops (all B-class copies, now £0.68), then Wolverine, Marvel Girl, Man-Ace , Storm, Beast, Trickster (Before, 0.95).
The leaflet could not have been missing, in the specific case relating to Lee Garbett. Some of the enemies of the first are depicted, detailing Juggernaut, Mystique, Magneto, Emma Frost, and Sabretooth (they are first class except for the third, from 1.85).
