United States: Republicans are getting more supportive of Trump than the party – Ultima Ora

(ANSA) – NEW YORK, Aug. 23 – Former President Donald Trump is growing in popularity, and an FBI attack at his Mar-a-Lago, Florida residence appears to have helped drive up his prices. This is shown by a new Nbc News poll, where Republicans who support the billionaire more than they support the party hit 41% in August, with +7 points versus 34% in May. The projection shows that 50% support the party more than Trump, but it is down from 58% in May. So the former president continues to exert tremendous influence on the old big party and his approval has also grown on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who appears to be undermining him in a possible race for the White House. An opinion poll published by St. Anselm College in New Hampshire last week, for example, showed Trump leading DeSantis by 50% to 29%. In June, a University of New Hampshire poll instead showed momentum from the governor that was very close to the billionaire’s preferences. (Dealing).
