United Kingdom: trips abroad are only permitted from Monday for essential reasons

London, 06 March 16:55 – (Nova Agency) British citizens leaving the UK from Monday will need to show a new permit proving that they are traveling for essential reasons. According to what was reported by the “Telegraph” newspaper, this is an initiative taken by the government to stop the Easter holidays, in addition to a measure that was taken after Cyprus, Seychelles, Greece and some Spanish islands rushed to open British fortified doors. According to the British newspaper, there is some concern in the London government about increasing levels of rule violation, especially among the 40 per cent of the adult population who are now vaccinated given the need to continue complying with the restrictions. This is why holidays in the UK or abroad are currently illegal. The government has banned Easter holidays in the UK, including family reunions, until mid-April. The overseas travel permits appear to be aimed at blocking those who are believed to be fleeing outside the UK until at least mid-May. (Rel)
