The completely innovative Italian company ESGeo, created to measure, manage and plan for impacts on the environment, society and governance, has won a competition promoted by the British Consulate General, on behalf of the British Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT), a competition between innovative European companies, i.e. start-ups that aspire to to international expansion and aims to attract the attention of international investors, customers and partners. In fact, just three years after its birth, Milan-based ESGeo – founded by Director Fabrizio Fucci with Techedge Group – received the “Tech Rocketship Italy 2022 Awards” given on the occasion of the “Open Innovation SMAU London Event”. ‘, in the Old Truman Brewery, which was once home to London’s largest brewery and is now a corporate meeting place.
Esgeo, in addition to supporting 60 partners including large banking groups from Illimity to Mediolanum, major companies such as Prysmian and Techedge itself and small and medium-sized companies and giants such as Ferrovie dello Stato, is ENI’s technology partner in creating the Open-es platform, through a tool Enel Materiality Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement and Microsoft Italia with the creation of training modules related to the application of technology to sustainability issues. The company has developed cutting-edge technology that is able to manipulate and manage complex variables (such as which sector you belong to, geographic area, number of employees, etc.) In particular, it properly assesses environmental, social and corporate governance factors to measure, manage and plan for impacts in various sectors and to understand – always with a view to improving competitiveness – whether or not a company or its supply chain is sustainable. This is done through Sustainability Intelligence, a platform and software that specializes in the integrated management of non-financial data within a company’s operations, certified in accordance with the standards of the GRI-Global Reporting Initiative (the world’s most recognized and approved for preparation of a sustainability report). Moreover, in collaboration with EticaNews, the reference portal for sustainability in Italy, the ESG Academy has created a specific digital course on sustainability, through which training modules related to the application of technology to sustainability topics have also been created for “Ambizione Italia #DigitalRestart”, the five-year investment plan for Italy with a value of $1.5 billion announced by Microsoft Italy on May 8.
