A British man has broken the Guinness World Record for the most tomatoes from one stem.
Other than the vegetable gardens planted during closures in recent years. Douglas Smithoriginally from Hertfordshire, kingdom unitedenters broad shoulders in Guinness Globalism register for the largest number of Tomatoes Taken from one trunk: 1269! It was Smith himself who set the previous record (with an impressive harvest of 839 cherry tomatoes), which was achieved a few weeks ago, while the previous record of only 488 has not been beaten for more than 10 years.
Hired as an IT manager, Smith took an analytical approach to his cultivation methods: as a good science man, he studied the articles and took soil samples for testing in the lab, in order to get the correct formula to conquer the log. Once the theory part was over, Smith began working in his greenhouse behind the house, spending an average of four hours a week looking after his prized creations.
But Smith isn’t just an expert on tomatoes: he recently planted a six-meter sunflower and has already announced plans to compete for the largest number of pod peas and the world’s heaviest potatoes and eggplant.
