Telenor eyes to acquire Wateen Telecom


Telenor is in some serious table talks with Wateen Telecom for a hundred percent acquisition, though the official confirmation isn’t being made so far but some reliable sources have confirmed about Norwegian group’s interest in acquiring.


At the same time sources tells that Mobilink was equally interested in acquiring Wateen while going for a merger with Warid but left the matter before any high delegation official talks.


Although things between Telenor acquiring Wateen have been discussed officially in Oslo, after Norwegian group’s proposal to acquire the Wateen group. According to the Propakistani, Wateen has confirmed the development and said that everything has been negotiated and now Wateen is waiting for a response from Oslo on the deal.

Wateen Telecom acquisition will surely be beneficial that is why the top telecos of Pakistan have shown their interest to get it on to the board.

So what all techies can do is wait more before Telenor’s response to Wateen and official announcement in any of this regard is being made.
