PayPal, Amazon, Ebay services soon to be operational in Pakistan


The good news for all techies came as Anusha Rehman, Minister for State for IT and Telecom while addressing the conference organized by GSMA in Islamabad told that prerequisite regulatory arrangements are made to invite the global tech companies in Pakistan to began their services in the country.


She also told about the major hindrance between doing it before and also revealed that we have successfully coped with it and with having stability now the International Tech Giants can be made operational in Pakistan.

Anusha told that Pakistan has now made it into the FATF’s white-list, which means Pakistan has finally got the internationally accepted anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing standards which mean Pakistan can avail the international services in the country.


Before this Pakistan was ranked on the FATF’s grey-list, which was a hurdle for making PayPal, Amazon and other services operational in Pakistan.

The biggest news she announced at the conference is Pakistan will be soon inviting the companies like PayPal, Amazon and Ebay.

She also accredited State Bank of Pakistani, who has teamed up with partners to enable e-payment services in Pakistan.

What is Amazon.com?

It started as online bookstore and is now one of the largest Internet-based retailer of the United States.

What is Ebay?

It is an online e-commerce company which provides access from consumer to consumer & business to consumer sales. It is headquartered in San Jose, California.
