DHAKA: Pakistan batsman Younis Khan in press talk after the day 1 of 2nd Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan said, ” I would love to dedicate my innings to the people who died in Nepal. I would love to dedicate this innings to them and to those in India as well and the people who suffered back home in Pakistan from the flood. I would love to dedicate this innings to them”, tigercricket.com.bd, reported.
When asked regarding the consistency of his batting and scoring his 29th Test hundred, 37-year-old right-hand batsman said,
” The pitch is supporting both bowlers and batsmen but I think if you play properly you have chance to score because the outfield is really quick. If you have pace and bowl in good areas, the way they bowled especially the first hour there was help for the fast bowlers. I just try whenever my team needs me, I love to score for my team . Suddenly when the team is under pressure and needs me by the grace of god I scored a century, it’s good for me and both the team.
About the Partnership of 250 runs between Pakistan one-day captain Azhar Ali and him, Khan said,
“When ever I was paired with Azhar, we chat a lot, we support each other and the way we play, we take singles and take the odd boundary. Whenever I play with Azhar it is good, we chat and I love to motivate these youngsters especially, Azhar. They are ou future so it is good for me as well. When they play well, they divert my energy whenever I play with these youngsters I am happy to guide them and play with them.
