PSL 2017 Spot Fixing Scandal

The second edition of Pakistan Super League was doing on well, but at the end of the first week, it was rocked because of corruption scandals involving at least six persons in the spot-fixing allegation.

Firstly, Islamabad United’s duo Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan was suspended by the investigation team of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). In a statement issued by the Anti-Corruption Unit of PCB, “We are aiming to root out corrupt practices and to safeguard and protect the integrity of PSL.”

After the suspension of Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, investigation circle is being tightened against Irrfan Khan, Babar, and Hasan. However, PCB has cleared that all these players are being questioned but will continue to play PSL till the final investigation.

On the other hand former cricketer and bowler, Sarfraz Nawaz has blamed PCB Chairman Najam Sethi for all these wrongdoings.
