Pakistan was utterly ragged in the field, and West Indies, after a poor start, have powered their way to 310. A well played knock by in-forms Simmons (50) and a cameo by Russell (42 off 13) in the death overs helped Caribbean team to cross the 300 run mark. Sloppy fielding and big hits at the end of the innings assisted Caribbean to put up a total of 310 runs.
Pakistan opened the gloves by losing two wickets in the opening over of the innings by Jerome Taylor. The speedster first knocked out the Nasir Jamshed and then off the Younis Khan at the last ball. Both players were out for ducks.
Even after losing five wickets early, Pakistani batsmen Akmal and Maqsood kept the game alive and provided a partnership of 80 for sixth wicket.
It has been yet another fabulous recovery from the West Indies batsmen. Caribbean smashed the Pakistan at the total of 160 in 39 overs and pocketed the record of a heavy margin victory of the ICC World Cup 2015 till now.
Today Pakistan has grabbed worst records in his pocket in batting, fielding and bowling. Team has lost four wickets at the lowest score of 1. Pakistan fielding once again came under the scanner. They dropped a catch as early as the fourth over. Afridi, then spilled two catches, one of Samuels and the other of Bravo. Irfan then grassed Simmons towards the end. Green Shirts are the first team of the ICC World CUP 2015, who are defeated by a monster margin of 150 runs.
West Indies is at number two in Pool B having 2 points and +1.267 Net Run Rate at the Points Table. Pakistan is again in darkness as the team is facing the deficit Net Run Rate of -2.260 and the loss of two matches.
