Players fined on violating night curfew


SYDNEY: Three days before the match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, eight members of World Cup squad including boom boom Shahid Afridi have been fined on violating curfew timing.


“Eight of the Pakistan players, which also included Shahid Afridi and Ahmad Shahzad, were fined 300 Australian dollars (US $230) after they came late to their Sydney hotel on Sunday”, according to English daily.


 The team management, headed by manager Naveed Cheema, claimed the players  arrived 45 minutes late after a night out.

Pakistan is placed in Group B of the 14-team World Cup which starts in Australia and New Zealand from Saturday, Misbah eleven will play his first group match against India on Feb 15.
