LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sought clarification from chief selector Moin Khan over his suspicious visit to a casino before Pakistan-West indies World Cup group match held in Christchurch, New Zealand on Saturday, English Daily reported.
PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan while talking to media said, Pakistan’s initial performances in the tournament is below power. How Moin Khan can visit casino. Shahryar khan further added, one cannot establish any thing without any substantial evidence. PCB is investigating the matter.
Khan denied reports stating Moin would be summnoned back to Pakistan over the incident and said the Board was fully behind the report.
Answering to the question, Shahryar Khan also admitted that coach Waqar Younis and chief selector Moin Khan approached him to change the captaincy of ODI team.
Earlier, eight players, including former captain Shahid Afridi were also fine for breaching a team curfew before their match against India.
Moin khan has played 69 Tests with batting average 28.55 and 219 ODIs with batting average 23.00 for Pakistan.
