DHAKA: Pakistan cricket team head coach is under severe criticism after Pakistan lost series from Bangladesh in a terrible way. In an interview to local media, Waqar admitted that Pakistan team is in great trouble now a days.
“We have to change our cricket style as we play a defensive cricket and it will take time to change this style”, said Younis. Along with defensive style, team is also facing ‘fitness problems’ which clearly indicates that the coach is not able to pick up the best side.
So far four players have ruled out from the series against Bangladesh due to injuries including Sohail Khan, Ehsan Adil, Yasir Shah and Sohaib Maqsoob. Just after the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Pakistan’s training camp was badly disturbed due to fitness issues due to which the team has to be deprived of seasoned players such as Muhammad Hafeez, Junaid Khan and Umar Gul.
To a question, Waqar ruled out the idea of looking back and tried again the tested players after the historic series defeat against Bangladesh saying that there is no need of it and we have to move ahead with the same youngsters.
Pakistan will play against Bangladesh in the third and final One-Day International on April 22 at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.
