On the batting paradise of Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Zalmi asked Kings to chase 182 runs, the start from Simmons and Anwar was dismal, Shoaib Malik team kept losing wickets on consistent basis, it was 109/6, when it all started for Karachi team, Ravi Bopara almost won the game for the Kings, scored 67 face 33 balls, hit 4 sixes and 5 fours. Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi captain Shahid Afridi after winning the toss decided to bat first, openers Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Hafeez provided a solid first wicket stand, Hafeez got out after scoring quick 59 in the 11th over of the innings, Umar Akmal came to the crease made fast 30 in 30 balls, left- handed Tamim undone on 37 runs, in last over it looked like Zalmi can set the target of 200 but late order batsman took their time, Shahid Afridi and Darren Sami helped the team in last overs to approach 182 runs, which in the end they have defended on the last balls of the match.
