Hockey: Pakistan reached final in Asian Games


INCHEON: The Pakistani hockey team secured its place in the final of Asian Games as it beats Malaysia in semi-finals on Tuesday.


The team fled to victory after defeating the Malaysian team in a penalty shootout.

Pakistan will now take on India in the hockey final.

Earlier, Pakistan beat Oman 8-0 in their final match of Pool B match at the Seonhak Hockey Stadium.


Captain Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Irfan and Abdul Haseem Khan scored two goals each, while Muhammad Umar Bhutta and Muhammad Dilber score one goal each.

On September 25, Pakistan qualified for the hockey semi-finals after defeating arch-rivals India 2-1 in their third Pool B match at the Munhak Hockey Stadium.
