With the soccer world cup, FIFA  2014, just around the corner, the fervor and exhilaration of millions, around the globe, is truly brewing. The aura and ambience of the tournament-to-be is expected to be incredibly exceptional and alluring. Not only are the oodles and oodles of fans,throughtout the world, flying to Brazil, to witness the sensational matches, scheduled to take place in twelve iconic stadiums, FIFA 2014, would showcase the dedication, passion, spirit and entertainment provided by the supporters to their respective national teams. The World Cup is coming to the land of Joga Bonito, translated as the Beautiful Football. Brazil would be hosting this tournament, after 64 years, with the last one to take place in Brazil, in 1950.To many ,this WC would create the history!


The grandeur of the traditional opening ceremony, which would be a tribute to the national grandness , cultural magnificence and the treasures of Brazil: nature, people and football, is comparable to the tournament itself. The performances of rapper Pitbull, Claudia Leitte, host of other celebrities ,would surely set the stage on fire. With hundreds of volunteers pouring in their energies to add to the glory of the happening ceremony, FIFA acknowledges the sheer dedication of the participants in its report:”Every single minute of the show took roughly 20 hours of preparation time, which is testament to how seriously performers are taking this .”Another remarkable feature of the performances, would be watching a paraplegic performing in an Iron-man avatar.

World cup managers have grouped the 32 squads heading to Brazil. Group A contains Brazil and Mexico. Group B contains Australia, Chile ,Netherlands, and Spain. Group C contains Colombia, Greece, Ivory Coast, and Japan. Group D contains Costa Rica, England, Italy ,and Uruguay. Group E contains Ecuador, France, Honduras ,and Switzerland .Group F contains Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran, and Nigeria. Group G contains Germany, Ghana, Portugal, and USA. Group H contains Algeria, Belgium, Russia, and South Korea.

The battle field of 32 teams confronting each other would witness so many of the potential players emerging as dark horses, the players with adroit professionalism , remarkable history and world-wide fame, the game changing players on whom the fate of the entire game would rest, and last but not the least the unsung ones. We are presenting ,a brief overview of the players belonging to the aforementioned categories , keeping in view the interest of our readers, as following:

Granit Xhaka, Switzerland ,is all set to assault the World Cup on top form. His technical ability and physicality is tremendous in making his team victorious. Paulinho, Brazil, has the most formidably strong form, much suited for Brazil. Gerard Pique, Spain, husband of the acclaimed singer, Shakira, will form one part of the 2-man partnership, lies at the heart of the team, and would try to retain FIFA world Cup. Hugo Lloris, France, can be a huge factor in any game! Shinji Okazaki, Japan, is ranked as a topped scorer in AFC qualifiers with 8 goals. Diego Godin, Uruguay, hopefully, would lead a sturdy, stubborn, defensive line. Marcelo, Brazil, is an absolute weapon for Brazil, with his attacking prowess and pace. Javier Mascherano, Argentina, plays a remarkable defensive midfielder for Argentina. Robin van Persia, Netherlands, has a versatile role to play for Netherlands. Arjen Robben, Netherlands, is a dual-edged winger, capable of cutting inside, and hitting the byline on his right. Andres Iniesta,Spain,is important towards getting a national victory.

Philipp Lahm, Germany,is another notably influential player on German side. Thiago Silva, Brazil, is the best centre-back in the world, and is ranked as the top-rated defender. He is undoubtedly, a leader, a commander, and a captain. Andrea Pirlo,Italy,is the most worshiped majestic ball-player in Italy. Portugal lives and dies by Christiano Ronaldo, Portugal. Neymer, Brazil,is star of the host nation and indeed, star of the tournament-to-be. His chances are making a huge mark in the Brazilian footballing victory. Last, but not the least, Lionel Messi, Argentina, is most capable of a FIFA World Cup Victory, and is at the forefront of formidable attacking team.

Highlighting the sights and sounds of the carnival,FIFA 2014,without giving due consideration to the fans and their respective nations, would portray the entire description colorless. Different nations and their respective spectators, having different aspirations, sentiments, cultures, symbols, would lend different colors to the colorful spectrum of the entire spectacle. Football-obsessed Mexicans, impassioned fans from Japan, Australia, Denmark, Portugal, Italy, Ivory Coast are expected to flock to Brazil ,in huge numbers. Ghana’s fans have been some of the most widely distinguished audiences of the recent World cups, with their characteristic singing, dancing and unique dressing sense. Ever since 2002 World Cup, South Koreans have been revered for their overzealous support to their nation’s international football team. Fans from Bosnia and Herzegovina would support their nation at their first World Cup.

Cameroon fans are known for their colorful outfits and jubilant dancing. Russian fans will wear their clothes with national pride. Costa Rica, one of smallest teams to have qualified for World Cup, has not the fan’s or players’ determination of the same size! Germans are ecstatic and looking forward to embrace the carnival spirit in Brazil. USA, by far, has bought the largest tickets for the festival. French fans are optimistic of recapturing their 1998 glory, this time.

Finally, we come to Pakistan. The thrill and excitement of the World Cup,2014 is still keenly felt in the masses, despite the country ‘s representation on the ground. Nevertheless, to her pride, Pakistan is the official manufacturer of the match ball, Brazuca, for FIFA 2014. And to further embolden the recognition, a Sialkot firm got the contract for manufacturing FIFA match-ball, whereas FIFA’s WC Chinese supplier Adidas failed to keep up the required International demands and standards. Unfortunately, the government failed to develop a global marketing campaign in time, when the Soccer World Cup, is just around the corner. It is a thousand pitties, that where Pakistan is notoriously associated with terrorism, extremism, and of the sorts, no mentionable efforts have been expended, by the state functionaries in forwarding this soft power image of the country!
