Don’t understand reason of dropping: Ahmad Shehzad

LAHORE: A successful run in the initial edition Pakistan Super League (PSL) was no sufficient for the Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad to the selectors consider him for the Asia Cup and World T20.
The name of the  Ahmed Shehzad was not in Pakistan squad when it was earlier announced on Feb 10 and the 23-year-old youngest cricket player was ignored once again when Pakistan cricket team selector chose in another opener Sharjeel Khan and middle order batsman Khalid Latif in the squad of Pakistan on February 22.
“I don’t understand the reason behind dropping an established player after a bad performance in one or two series,” Ahmed Shehzad said, when he talking to media on Wednesday.
If the criteria depend on performance then I should have to select. He said, that he have performed well in the last 3 and half year. Ahmed Shehzad said that he was ‘assured’ with his performance and forced the selectors to judge the ‘ability’ in mind before selecting a squad.
“The team has been picked according to their [management and captain] wish and good luck to then,” Ahmed Shehzad said.
“I am still young and have hit 10 international centuries which is a great achievement,” Shehzad said.
