NOTINGHAM: In fourth Test Match of Ashes series, English bowlers smashed the Australian battling line and bowled them out within 19 overs when only 60 runs on board before the end of even first session.
In the fourth game of Ashes series at Trent Bridge, the England captain Alastair Cook sent Australian side in after winning the toss. The decision of sending the guests in hit the mark soon after English bowler Stuart Broad began to strike.
The Australian batting line up seemed to be like children facing professional bowlers. Not a single batsman could sustain in front of Broad’s fast moving deliveries and all of them got caught mostly in the slips.
Eight players of Australian batting side could not even cross double figure as only two batsmen, Clark and Johnson, were the top scorer in the whole side with 10 and 13 runs respectively.
Both the Australian openers, Rogers and Warner, got out without making a single run following March who also returned pavilion with a duck.
Stuart Broad ended with 8 wickets in 9.3 overs out of which 5 were maiden. Other two wickets were taken by Wood and Finn.
Currently, England trail by 38 runs and the total on the score board is 22/0 where both the openers, Alastair Cook and Adam Lyth, were batting on 11 and 10 respectively.
Meanwhile, in the five Investec Test match series, England has won 2 games and Australian stands with 1 victory. So, this is must win game for the Ausies to save the Ashes.
