Wankhede Stadium: The 5th match of the series remained a decider after India defeated South Africa in the 4th ODI. But the situation in the final match/5thODI of the ODI series looks quite pity for the Indian bowlers. The blue caps were helpless in-front of balls flying out of the cricketing field.
The worst condition of the Indian bowling line up has become talk of the town, getting trolls and sledging as a tribute.
5th ODI: Devastation of Indian bowlers by South Africans
South Africa after winning the toss decided to bat first in the decider match of the ODI series. India looks off-colored from the very beginning. SA came in ground with attacking mindset, were playing above 8 RPO (Runs Per Over), when the first wicket of senior SA batsman Hashim Amla fell on team score 33 after completion of 4 overs.
The Indian enjoyed the wicket as they were supposed to do but they weren’t aware of what the next coming batsman Faf have planned for them. Faf and Quniton de Kock build up a partnership with wasting some balls, the basic plan of Proteas was to maintain their Run-Rate and they were able to do it without loosing many wickets.
After Amla’s depart, Kock tried to be on the strikers-end for max time, scored 7th century of his ODI career, out of which 5 are against India.
Kock commanding SA, was caught out on the slip in 27th over at the team score of 187. Then came the South African skipper and set a mammoth partnership with Faf of 211 runs, before Faf was retired hurt.
AB also scored a ton, marking the third ton of the innings after Faf’s and Kock’s ton.
