PCB announces Pakistan squad for Sri Lanka tour 2015


LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board|(PCB) has announced 16 member squad for the three match Test series against Sri Lanka. Two months long tour will be starting on June 17 with first Test match in Gallae. After that both teams will be playing against each other on June 25 and July 3 for second and third Test.


41 year old Misbah ul Haq will captain the side and one-day format captain Azhar Ali will assist as a vice-captain.

Former Test cricket and PCB chief selector at announcing the squad said,” While selecting the squad, the selection committee considered the following key areas: Suitability to play in varied playing conditions; potential to perform at international level; current form and fitness and performance in the previous tours of Bangladesh and recently concluded Pakistan ‘A’ team’s tour of Sri Lanka; feedback from the team management on the performance of players Bangladesh tour”.
