Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) chairman Syed Sultan Shan stated on Wednesday that national team won’t participate in the Asia Cup for the blind scheduled to be held in India.
The move comes following threats from Shiv Sena to Pakistanis and its storming the Indian board office on Monday when a meeting between PCB and BCCI was underway.
“Shiv Sena’s attack on Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarter, causing cancellation of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan’s meeting, threatening Aleem Dar from officiating the last two India-South Africa series matches and decision of ICC to send him back on security concerns has compelled us to consider the matter of Pakistan’s team security seriously,” said that chairman.
The chief of PBCC stated that in case current situation gets more severe the PCB should also boycott the 2016 Twenty20 World Cup to be held in India next year.
“The way the Indian Government is sitting back and doing nothing about the matter, seems like they are the ones who are exaggerating it,” added the chief.
He also expressed that all the international sports events due to be held in India should be shifted to somewhere else instead of India.
