Pakistan ready to come back in series in 3rd ODI against SL

KARACHI: Pakistan will play its third one-day international match against Sri Lanka today (Sunday) and is looking to come back in the series.

Pakistani team is striving hard to maintain its position to the top eight teams in the ICC ODI ranking and also to deal with the bowling ban on Muhammad Hafeez.

Currently West Indies is at number 8 in ODI ranking and green shirts are trying hard to atleast snatch the position from West Indies in order to play in the Champions Trophy scheduled in September this year.

Pakistan succeeded in snatching the 8th position from West Indies after winning the first one-day match from Sri Lanka but again pushed back to ninth position after losing the second one-day match. However, Pakistan can again jump to eighth position if it wins the third one-day match.

Former cricket player, Shoaib Muhammad said in this regard that Pakistan must not lose morale for losing just a single match. However, he too believes that Pakistan will miss the bowling of Hafeez and need to struggle hard to contain runs.
